New GAPNA Research Committee Chair

The Research Committee has a new Chair, Dr. Tomika Williams, PhD, AGNP-C, CDP. Dr. Williams is an Advanced Practice Provider Clinical Director in North Carolina and a long-time GAPNA Research Committee member. Within her term, she will lead the Committee to develop a structured program for research capacity building within GAPNA.
The Research Committee celebrated another successful conference in San Diego, CA, in 2021. The Committee presented the Research Cash Cab, which is based on the television show “Cash Cab,” in the Exhibit Hall during the conference.
Many conference attendees learned about GAPNA and research-related topics while enjoying their rides with our Cash Cab crews. The Research Booth was also available to all conference attendees in the Exhibit Hall during the conference.
The Research and Education Committees also participated in judging poster and podium presentations at the conference.
The 2022 GAPNA Annual Conference will be held September 15-17, 2022 in Orlando, FL. Research Committee members presented how to create a winning abstract at a recent Webinar, and we hope this presentation will help GAPNA members prepare their abstracts for future GAPNA Annual Conferences.
