2021 Fall GAPNA Newsletter Volume 40 Number 3

Chapter Archives Requested

By Cindy Gerstenlauer

Chapters wishing to submit materials for the GAPNA archives are asked to bring their records to GAPNA’s Annual Conference in San Diego and turn them in to the registration desk upon arrival.

Members of the Historical Committee will review the materials and put them in banker boxes to be shipped to the archiving center. Chapters submitting records are requested to donate $50 for every inch high of records, to help cover the costs of archiving. Make your check out to GAPNA and include it with the materials.

Chapter records must be at least 10 years old. Potential chapters meeting this criterion include:

  • Northern CA 1998-2012
  • Chicagoland 2006-2012 (1998-2006 already archived)
  • Great Lakes 2006-2012 (1982-2006 already submitted for archiving)
  • Florida Gulf Coast 2001-2012
  • Ohio 2001-2012
  • Gulf Coast Texas 2001-2012

The Historical Committee recognizes that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and extraordinary circumstances that members have been working through, some eligible chapters may not be able to submit their records at this time. We completely understand, and there is no pressure to do this.

A description of pertinent records for archiving was covered in the GAPNA Summer Newsletter 2021, and in emails with affected chapters. If you have questions or need more information, please contact the Chair, Cindy Gerstenlauer at cgerstenlauer@comcast.net.
