GAPNA Welcomes Brenda Van Roosenbeek
GAPNA is pleased to announce that Brenda Van Roosenbeek, DNP, APNP, FNP-BC, has been appointed Editor of the GAPNA Newsletter. Brenda is a Lead Clinical Team Manager for the Northeast region of New York, Michigan, and Wisconsin. She also manages 25 nurse practitioners for the Optum HouseCalls program in metropolitan Wisconsin.
Brenda has been a nurse for 25 years and a nurse practitioner for 13 years. Her DNP Capstone Project was entitled: “Development and Implementation of a Care Coordination Checklist and Group and One to One Coaching Sessions with Nurse Practitioners who Were Having Difficulties with Specific Cancer Documentation.”
“Nursing is my passion. I truly enjoy helping others and making a difference,” Brenda states. She has been married for 29 years and has two children: a 25-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, hiking, enjoying the outdoors, laughing, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her new role as GAPNA Newsletter Editor, Brenda is also Treasurer for the Southeast Wisconsin GAPNA Chapter.
The GAPNA Newsletter is the official newsletter of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association. Published quarterly, the newsletter provides a variety of interesting and informative content for our readership. Each issue details what's new in the association, including volunteer opportunities, conference plans, chapter and special interest group updates, upcoming events, clinical news, much more.
