Marquette's Acute Care Gerontology Program Adapts to Combat Burnout 
 

Marquette University's Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program has responded to the challenges elder care nurses face exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. With higher burnout rates and staffing shortages, the program has adapted to prioritize mental well-being, integrating self-care practices into the curriculum. Program directors emphasize community engagement and leadership development, aiming to equip graduates to address systemic issues in healthcare.
